It's easy to fall in love with Amsterdam. But to really get to know her? That takes time, dedication, and commitment. Hotel V is run by 12th generation Amsterdammers with a long-standing passion for this beautiful city and a desire to share that with guests. That's why our motto is: “from Amsterdam with love”. We like to find the unique, quirky, hidden, and inspiring side of what makes this city great. If that appeals to you, then you have come to the right place.
We've got so much to tell you.
Located close to Amstel Station and overlooking the gorgeous Amstel river skyline, hotel V fizeaustraat stands in a beautifully renovated building from the 70s in the neighbourhood of 'Amsteldorp' in Amsterdam's up-and-coming district of the East (“Oost”). With easy access to trains, trams, and the A10 highway, as well as ample parking and bike rentals, the hotel is easily accessible by car or public transportation. But the best part? This neighborhood is delightfully green and calm but also incredibly close to the action of the city. You don't have to go very far to find a wealth of great bars, shops and restaurants. Our V crew can point you in the right direction!

This building caught our eye from the very moment we found it. Designed in the 70's by renowned Dutch architect Piet Zanstra (1905-2003), who was responsible for a number of important buildings in Amsterdam, it had stood empty for 12 years before we came in and, with a little bit of love and a lot of V care, turned it into hotel V fizeaustraat and The Lobby Fizeaustraat. The building stands strong and proud on the corner in a calm, green neighborhood by Amstel Station, and to keep it as authentic as possible, we used it's 1970's construction date as heavy inspiration for our design process, even reinstalling certain features that helped us to retain the building's charm, such as the building's original metal windows (now reinforced with a durable, sustainable glass coating to help control climate and temperature). In keeping with the green surroundings of this neighborhood, we are also installing green living roofing which has the added benefit of being sustainable and of course, beautiful and green.
